Peabody Township Library started a ten week Summer Reading Program on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The program is being run in cooperation with Peabody Burns Elementary School. PBES teachers have set summer reading goals for all students. Summer Reading enrollment forms were included with student grade cards mailed at the end of May. Each child from birth to 5th grade can get credit and earn prizes. Students of PBES will also be able to take Accelerated Reader tests just like at school for additional credit. The program ends August 10th when the library closes at 6:00 pm.
The 2022 Summer Reading Program is different from previous programs in that Middle School and High School students as well as Adults can also participate. Successfully completing reading goals will earn participants a chances in a drawing for some incredible prizes donated by local businesses and donations received from outside funding.
